Caracas, June 5 (IANS) Venezuela and the Netherlands have agreed to expand cooperation in trade, energy, agriculture and surveillance of the Caribbean.
Venezuelan Foreign Minister Elias Jaua, who signed a cooperation agreement with his Dutch counterpart, Frans Timmermans, said the friendly ties with the Netherlands “signifies an element of stability in the Caribbean”.
Timmermans said there is great potential in the economic sphere for the Netherlands to become a bridge between Venezuela and Europe and for Venezuela to be a bridge between the Netherlands and Latin America, reported Xinhua.
