Thiruvananthapuram, June 13 (IANS) Technopark start-up IT firm Livares Technologies Pvt Ltd Thursday launched M-governance (mobile-governance) Kerala, an android mobile application that offers information of the different departments of the state government.
The objective of this app is to integrate advancements in mobile phone technology with various departments to create cost-effective, efficient and round-the-clock government information systems.
Users can download the application gratis at http://goo.gl/Jv7f8, and select a required service under a specific department. They can also initiate a query regarding the specific services under a department by simply giving the required details (registration number, file number etc.) and click the submit button.
The system initiates an SMS which is sent to “537252” in a predefined format.
“This move can revolutionise M-governance in Kerala. Livares believes that the application will bridge the gap between the system and the public,” said Aneesh Chandran, chief operating officer, Livares Technologies (P) Ltd.
Livares Technologies is a start-up company incubated at Technopark (TBI) and Startup Village, set up by seven young people.
“We are in the process of creating an apps store to make available applications which support various e-governance initiatives in the state and this is the first and am sure that this mobile application will serve its purpose righteously,” said Jayasankar Prasad, director, of the state-owned Kerala State Information Technology Mission.
