Ranchi, June 7 (IANS) Jharkhand’s vigilance department Friday arrested a state official taking a bribe of Rs.2,000, an official said here Friday.
Sanjeev Kumar, a block development officer (BDO) of Vishrampur block in Palamau district, was arrested while taking a bribe from a beneficiary of Indira Awas Yojna to allot a house to him.
Vigilance officials were informed earlier about Kumar asking for a bribe. Kumar has been jailed.
