Bhubaneswar, June 17 (IANS) Odisha created 537 posts of police sub-inspectors Monday to deal with crimes against women and children in the state, officials said.
The police officers will be recruited by the state-run Odisha Staff Selection Commission and one each will be posted in the state’s 537 police stations, an official of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s office told IANS.
The state has already set up a women and child helpdesk in every police station to deal with crimes against women and children.
