London, June 17 (IANS) World No. 2 Andy Murray claimed his third title of the Queen’s Club grass court event as he completed his preparation for Wimbledon with victory over Marin Cilic of Croatia here.
The reigning US Open champion, who missed the French Open due to a back injury, won the rain-delayed final 5-7, 7-5, 6-3 Sunday, reports Xinhua.
The Briton, the beaten finalist last year at Wimbledon, will focus on practice before playing at the Grand Slam event next week.
“I worked very hard in the time that I had off to try and get myself back in the best shape possible,” he said.
“My team helped me a lot, they were patient with me and it’s why I was able to come out and play so tough in the last couple of matches.”
