Rome, June 8 (IANS/AKI) A 35-year-old Indian has been arrested in Italy for allegedly beating a Moroccan with a chain and robbing him of 200 euros.
The incident took place in southern Italy’s Modugno town, near the coastal city of Bari.
The Indian was arrested after witnesses told police they saw him fleeing down a street after Thursday’s attack.
Police returned to the Moroccan the 200 euros allegedly found in the Indian’s pocket.
The Moroccan was taken to a hospital where doctors diagnosed a fractured ankle.
