Hundreds throng to wish Balakrishna on his birthday

Hyderabad, June 10 (IANS) Telugu actor Nandamuri Balakrishna, who turned 52 Monday, had a busy day – apart from greeting fans, who queued outside his house, he also shot for his new movie and launched his website.

Popularly known as Balayya in the industry, Balakrishna addressed his fans in the morning before leaving to the launch of his yet untitled Telugu political-drama with director Boyapati Sreenu.

He also launched his website www.nandamuri.com, which will have information about his films and upcoming projects.

“Balayya was visited by his fans from different parts of the state. Despite his busy schedule, he spent some time with them before joining the launch of his new film,” the actor’s agent told IANS.

This is the second collaboration between Balakrishna and Boyapati Sreenu, who had previously teamed up for highly successful Telugu action-drama “Simha”.

“Couple of small scenes were canned today (Monday). Balayya mouthed few dialogues that were exclusively written for the shoot. The regular shooting will begin from June 17,” he added.

One of the dialogues that was shot today was – “Kondaru Aasinchadanike Pudataru, Kondaru Sasinchatanike Pudataru (some are born to aspire, some are born to rule)”.

Balayya will spend the evening with family and close friends.

“There won’t be a birthday bash per se but we will host a small party for family and friends later in the evening,” the agent said.

Son of late actor Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR), Balakrishna made his cinematic debut with 1974 Telugu film “Tatamma Kala”.

Some of his best films are “Narsimha Naidu”, “Bhairava Dweepam” and “Sri Rama Rajyam”. He has won two Nandi awards and one Filmfare award for best actor.
