New Delhi, June 5 (IANS) It was a hot, sunny Wednesday in the capital with the maximum temperature settling at 43.6 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season’s average. The weather office has forecast similar weather Thursday.
“The sky will be clear tomorrow (Thursday). Heatwave conditions will prevail over the city in the afternoon,” an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
Thursday’s maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 44 and 30 degrees Celsius, respectively, the IMD official added.
The minimum temperature Wednesday was 30.5 degrees Celsius, three notches above average for this time of the year. The maximum humidity was 60 percent.
Tuesday’s maximum and minimum temperatures settled a notch above average at 41.7 and 28.8 degrees Celsius, respectively.
