Pune, June 5 (IANS) Services registered their third win by defeating Sports Authority of India 6-1 in a Group C match of the third Hockey India senior men’s National championship here Wednesday.
Two goals apiece by Lovepreet Singh and Sanwar Ali after early strikes by Armugam and Siraju AP featured in Services’ easy win while SAI replied through Neeraj.
In Group E, Hockey Jharkhand scored a resounding 12-2 win over Bengal Hockey Association, with penalty corner specialist Divakar Ram scoring thrice. In another match, Hockey Odisha edged out Comptroller and Auditor General 3-2.
Jharkhand and Odisha will take on each other Thursday to decide who will move into the last eight from the group.
