Shimla: Embracing information technology, the HP High Court has implemented Case Management Information System (CMIS) by which advocates and litigants will get acknowledgement of cases filed by them and information about next date of hearing on e-mail.
With the CMIS, there will be computerized scrutiny of the filed case and the objections, if any, will be communicated to the advocates and litigants over e-mail and all the cases will be listed within 7-10 days after registration before appropriate court, a High Court spokesman stated in a press communiqué.
Quota of cases to be heard per day has also been fixed. Automatic case listing date will be given to the pre-admission cases and its interlocutory applications.
All pending applications in a case will be listed along with the main case on a given date. Cause list generation will be automatic and quick.
Various notices will be generated through system, which will reduce the typing work of staff.
All orders will be uploaded to the server for certified copies as well as on High Court website in real time, stated the court spokesman.
The CMIS also provides module for e-filing of cases, affidavits, copies of lower Court Judgement, Vakalatnama, Caveat, e-payment of Process fee, additional fee, updating, registering and connecting cases besides various other functions aimed to make the working of courts more efficient, speedy and advocates and litigants friendly.
Case Management Information System (CMIS) is designed to streamline the functioning of judicial branch and the board serial number of the case will also be informed to the litigants and advocates once the cause list for a particular day is ready.
