Jakarta, June 14 (IANS) China secured the women’s doubles title as four Chinese pairs entered the semifinals after beating their respective opponents at the Indonesian Open Super Series Premier here Friday.
Seeded No.8 Bao Yixin and Cheng Shu eliminated Indonesian pair Nitya Krishinda Maheswari and Greysa Polii 21-15, 22-20, reports Xinhua.
In the previous match, defending champions Wang Xiaoli and Yu Yang won against another Indonesian duo Anneke Feinya Agustin and Della Destiara Haris. The No.1 Chinese pairing were extended to three games, winning 21-13, 15-21, 21-12.
“It’s not so exceptional. We would still take our utmost to win the match,” Bao Yixin said, commenting on an all-Chinese semifinal scheduled Saturday.
