New Delhi, June 9 (IANS) The week ended on a sunny, hot note in the national capital Sunday as the maximum temperature settled a notch above average at 40.1 degrees Celsius. The Met office has forecast similar weather Monday.
“The skies will be clear and the afternoon will be hot tomorrow (Monday),” said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Monday’s maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 41 and 31 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Sunday’s minimum temperature was 30.2 degrees Celsius, two notches above average and the maximum humidity was 74 percent.
The maximum temperature Saturday settled a notch below average at 39.8 degrees Celsius, while the minimum was 29.1 degrees Celsius, a notch above average.
