New Delhi, May 6 (IANS) Umang Dairies, a unit of JK Organisation, Monday said its revenue increased 16 percent to Rs.173.80 crore in the financial year ended March 31, 2013, with the introduction of new products.
The company’s revenue in 2011-12 fiscal was compared to Rs.150.21 crore, Umang Dairies said in a statement.
Umang Dairies, the third largest seller of branded dairy creamers in consumer packs in India, after Amul and Nestle, said its operating profit increased by 16 percent to Rs.18.29 crore.
Director of Umang Dairies R.C. Periwal said the company introduced new products and expanded the capacity of its drying plant to 4.5 lakh litres per day in 2012-13 as compared to 3 lakh litres in the previous year.
“Umang is working on plans to expand its product portfolio and will launch some new products shortly. It is also exploring possibilities of acquisition of some existing dairy company having synergy with its product portfolio,” Periwal said.
