Abu Dhabi, May 16 (IANS/WAM) Top officials of the UAE met representatives of the governments of the US and Spain and held discussions related to defence and security.
The UAE’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Lt. Gen. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan met Spanish Ambassador Jose Eugenio Salarich Fernandez Valderrama to exchange views on promoting police relations.
The Spanish ambassador was accompanied by a delegation from Spain’s Guardia Civil (or the Civil Guard police force), who are on current visit to the UAE.
Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi crown prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces
Gen. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received US Secretary of the Navy, Ray Mabus, and an American delegation, who are also on a visit to the UAE.
The officials discussed bilateral relations, particularly in military spheres and ways to promote them in the interest of both countries.
