Ghaziabad, May 20 (IANS) Murdered teenager Aarushi’s father and accused Rajesh Talwar Monday answered 231 questions in a court here and denied the allegations of his involvement in the crime while claiming that the CBI was influencing witnesses.
Talwar denied the allegations made by the CBI and countered by saying that the prosecution agency was influencing witnesses to deviate from their original statements and thus making his case weak, defence counsel Manoj Shishodia said.
The recording of the statement of Talwar would continue Tuesday before Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Special Judge S. Lal.
Aarushi, 14, was found murdered at her parents’ Noida residence May 16, 2008. The body of their domestic help Hemraj, who was initially suspected to be the girl’s killer, was found the next day on the terrace of the house.
During the proceedings Monday, the dentist denied allegations that he used internet at his house for two hours past-midnight on the day when Aarushi was murdered.
He also denied questions related to the physical injuries on Hemraj’s body.
Talwar and his wife Nupur, both suspects in the double murder, are out on bail.
