Hyderabad, May 15 (IANS) Reacting sharply to his suspension from the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), M. Raghunandan Rao Wednesday challenged party chief K. Chandrasekhara Rao to prove the allegations within 48 hours. If not, he would come out with evidence on how party leaders received money on various occasions.
The former president of TRS’s Medak district unit said there was no truth in the allegations against him that he was threatening some industrialists and demanding money and that he was planning to join the Telugu Desam Party (TDP).
Raghunandan targeted the TRS chief, his son K. Tarakarama Rao and nephew Harish Rao. He said Harish Rao had been planning a revolt against Chandrasekhara Rao and wanted to join Congress party with several party leaders in 2009 when Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy was the chief minister.
“Is this the reward given to me for serving the party for 13 years,” he asked.
Raghunandan alleged that the party leadership was driving out leaders who had served the party for a long time but had no money to get party tickets for next year’s elections.
Raghunandan was Tuesday suspended from the party for indulging in anti-party activities.
Denying the allegations against the leadership, TRS leader Rajaiah dared Raghunandan to prove them.
