Ranchi, May 23 (IANS) Suspected Maoist guerrillas killed two people in Jharkhand’s Gumla district early Thursday, police said.
According to police, a group of 15-20 suspected Maoists dragged Sonu Mahto and his uncle Rama Mahto from their home in Murkunda village, around 140 km from here. They were shot dead outside the house.
At least seven Maoist groups are believed to be active in 18 of the state’s 24 districts.
