Mumbai, May 14 (IANS) Senior actors Rishi Kapoor and Jackie Shroff are impressed with their “Aurangzeb” co-actor Arjun Kapoor. While Rishi Kapoor lauds his “passion for work”, Jackie is impressed with his “talent”.
Praising Arjun, Rishi said: “Any actor has to be focussed about his work, needs to have passion and dedication for his work. His passion should show in his work and that I have seen in Arjun.”
“We are friends also. I will pray and bless you (Arjun) that you do good, make your parents proud and make your own image and reputation in the film industry,” the 60-year-old said here in an interview.
Son of filmmaker Boney Kapoor and late Mona Shourie, Arjun made his acting debut with 2012 release “Ishaqzaade” and it wowed both the audiences and the critics alike.
Right now, besides “Aurangzeb”, coming out Friday, the actor has films like “Gunday” and “2 States” in his kitty.
Rishi, who has been in the filmdom for over four decades, feels happy to work with young actors.
“I have seen it (passion for work and dedication) in many other young actors of today. It feels happy to work with them. I feel happy that they respect us, give us love,” Rishi, whose son Ranbir is described as one the talented young actors.
Jackie, who worked with Arjun for the first time in “Aurangzeb”, is so impressed with him that he wants to work with him again.
“He (Arjun) is a very talented actor. He has done a fantastic job in the film. I really like to work with him. He is fantastic. He has proved himself in the film. He is really very good,” said Jackie, whose son Tiger is ready to join the young brigade of actors soon.
Directed by Atul Sabbharwal, “Aurangzeb” is based on land mafia and also features southern actor Prithviraj Sukumaran and Amrita Singh.
