Paris, May 8 (IANS) Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo and captain Thiago Silva were suspended by the French football league’s disciplinary committee.
Defender Silva was given a two-match ban Tuesday following altercations with referee Alexandre Castro in Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Valenciennes, reports Xinhua.
Silva was sent off in the match for putting his hand on the chest of Castro to protest an earlier decision.
Leonardo appeared to deliberately shoulder-barge Castro in the tunnel after referee made the sending off. Leonardo has denied the allegation.
