Shimla: Himachal Pradesh, with a population of 6,856,509, has over 46 lakh voters and photo identity cards have been prepared for all of them, state’s Chief Electoral Officer Narinder Chauhan said here today.
There are now 4,618,537 voters registered in all 68 assembly constituencies, of which 23,60,829 are males and 22,57,708 females, Chauhan said in a statement.
The Sulah assembly constituency in Kangra district has the most – 87,929 – electors, whereas Lahaul-Spiti has the least (22,079), he said.
He said final photo electoral rolls of three remote Vidhan Sabha constituencies — Bharmour, Lahaul-Spiti and Kinnaur — were published Monday. These constituencies have 1,39,412 voters.
