Los Angeles, May 25 (IANS) Actor-comedian Russell Brand has reportedly been attacked by fans of band One Direction for daring to call the band’s member Harry Styles a womaniser.
Brand reportedly called Styles as his “womanising apprentice” in an Âappeal for celebrities to sign his Âpetition to decriminalise drugs and treat addiction as a disease.
“My adored womanising apprentice @Harry_Styles please encourage your followers to sign this. One day you might need it,” Brand posted to Styles Twitter, reports dailystar.co.uk.
But One Direction fans stormed Twitter to hurl abuse at Brand, 37, for suggesting their idol was a ladies’ man.
A fan Emilia posted on Twitter that Brand was rude and nasty and he could go to hell.
Another fan Curly Cupcake posted: “You better be sorry. Styles’ perfect in Âevery way.”
After 24 hours of abuse from youngsters, a shocked Brand Âfinally replied to one Twitter message: “Sorry mate. I take it back.”
