New Delhi, May 7 (IANS) From designer saris, elegant anarkalis embellished with zardozi and Swarovski to stylish kurtas, there are plenty of options to choose from during the forthcoming wedding season with Designer Den’s new “wedding” collection.
Designers Dipika and Kailash Chandna along with daughter Sanna have launched their exclusive ethnic collection titled “Srijan” under their brand, Designer Den, based on the theme of women empowerment.
The collection comprises silhouettes in bold shades and designs and are a perfect blend of Indian and western cuts.
“The USP of the collection is the right usage of colours, embroidery and cuts,” said Sanna. “We have focussed mainly on intricate cuts and designs. We have introduced stylish deep necks or backless blouses.”
Kailash said that one should not follow fashion blindly.
“It’s very important to know what suits you. Often people wear what’s in vogue. They don’t care if it suits them. If floor length suits are in vogue, everyone’s wearing them. This is generally called ‘bhaier chaal’. This is where a designer comes in, where they tell you what suits you and how you should wear it.”
In order to meet the needs of modern women, the designers have extensively used pin tucks, shell tucks cascades, cowls and pleats
A lot of handwork has been done which included stones, kundan, zari, salmaa, dabka, French knots, cut work, crystal and mirror work.
Thr price range of the collection starts from Rs.20,000.
