New Delhi, May 16 (IANS) You must have seen a good dose of Hyderabadi culture in Sagar Sarhadi’s “Bazaar”, and now director Nitin Raghunath is set to bring the same flavour on the screen with his forthcoming movie “Mere Haule Dost”.
Produced by PVR Director’s Rare, the story is set in Hyderabad and revolves around five friends who dream of participating in the Himalayan bike rally but do not have enough funds to support them, said a statement.
Talking about the genre of the film, Raghunath said: “‘Mere Haule Dost’ is a young adult film that I envisioned when I was in college. I wanted to make something that was not too stylistic, yet had elements of nostalgia and vibe of a studio sitcom. I hope the audience sees the film as a refreshing take on the young adult film genre and has fun following these quirky characters around.”
The movie features Anirudh Loka, Raghuvardhan Garlapati, Aadil Abedi, Rishit Samala and Kiran Gadalay in lead roles. The movie will hit the theatres June 7.
“‘Mere Haule Dost’ is an interesting addition to the Director’s Rare portfolio. Our aim always is to bring new and different kind of cinema to our patrons,” Sanjeev Kumar Bijli, joint managing director, PVR Ltd said.
