Patna, May 23 (IANS) Three women and two children were killed in a Bihar village when they were attacked by an axe-wielding family member who is believed to be mentally challenged, police said Thursday.
The incident took place late Wednesday in Bihjadi village in Vaishali district when Sunil Giri used an axe against his family. While three people were killed on the spot, two succumbed to their injuries Thursday at the Patna Medical College and Hospital here.
The accused is absconding after the incident.
Hundreds of shocked people from neighbouring villages thronged Bihjadi following the incident.
