Shimla: Mini marathon with the theme Conserve Energy — Save Energy had Lakshya Chauhan come out winner in the boys group of up to 15 years age and Kumari Kavya was winner among the girls section. 
Other than the run for school children there were participants in the 15 to 55 age group and a separate category those over 55 years tagged as veterans.
In the 15 to 55 age group, Shruti was declared winners among the ladies participating and Hoshiyar Singh was first among the men.
Mohan Lal Thakur was winner in the veteran group.
In each category male and female participants were awarded separately with the winner getting a cash award of Rs 4000 each.
The 5 Km run was flagged early in the morning from The Ridge by RP Singh, CMD of SJVN. The over 500 participants ran past The Mall Road, Raj Bhawan, Forest Road, Nav Bahar to get to the finish line at Jesus & Mary school.
The run was organised as part of SJVN’s Silver Jubilee celebrations.
