Koda again gets provisional bail

Ranchi, May 14 (IANS) Former chief minister Madhu Koda was Tuesday granted provisional bail by the Jharkhand High Court to look after his ailing mother. This was the second occasion when he was afforded the relief.

Koda, the only son of his parents, was allowed by the court to attend to his mother in hospital for a week.

The first time Koda was granted provisional bail was April 15.

Koda was arrested in a graft case in November 2009. The Income Tax department and the Enforcement Directorate raided 69 places in the country in October 2009. Koda was allegedly at the centre of a Rs.2,500 crore money laundering scam.
