Thiruvananthapuram, May 24 (IANS) Kerala Governor Nikhil Kumar turned a commoner after flying in from New Delhi when Air India failed to open the VIP exit door for him, airport sources said Friday.
The incident took place almost a week ago.
Kumar arrived by Air India close to 11 p.m. As per protocol, the governor is entitled to board his car on the tarmac.
While senior officials of the airport, Air India and the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) were waiting for him, the aircraft’s VIP exit door did not open.
Kumar then took the aerobridge — like other passengers — to reach the terminal
