New Delhi, May 15 (IANS) It was a hot, sunny day in the capital Wednesday with the maximum temperature settling a notch above average at 40.5 degrees Celsius. The Met Office has forecast similar weather for Thursday.
“The sky will be clear tomorrow (Thursday) and the maximum temperature is expected to reach 41 degrees in the afternoon,” an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.
The minimum temperature is expected to hover around 26 degrees Celsius, the IMD official added.
It was a warm morning in the capital Wednesday with the minimum temperature settling at 24.8 degrees Celsius – a notch below average. The humidity recorded was in the range of 69-23 percent.
On Tuesday, the maximum temperature settled a notch above average at 39.8 degrees Celsius while the minimum was recorded at 24.7 degrees Celsius – a notch below average for this time of the season.
