New Delhi, May 17 (IANS) Delhi sweated it out on a hot, sunny Friday as the maximum temperature settled three notches above the season’s average at 42.2 degrees Celsius. The Met office has forecast temperatures to rise further over the weekend.
“The skies will remain clear and sunny and there will be no respite over the next couple of days and the temperatures will rise further,” an India Meteorological Department official said.
Saturday’s maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 43 and 26 degrees Celsius.
Friday’s minimum temperature was a notch below average at 24.6 degrees Celsius while the maximum humidity was 64 percent.
The city experienced hot weather conditions Thursday as well with the minimum temperature settling at 25.4 degrees Celsius and the maximum at 40.8 degrees Celsius – both a notch above average.
