New Delhi, May 10 (IANS) It was a hot, cloudy Friday in the capital with the maximum temperature settling a notch above average at 40.6 degrees Celsius. The Met Office has forecast similar weather Saturday.
“The skies will be overcast tomorrow (Saturday) but the afternoon will be hot,” said an official of the India Meteorological department (IMD).
Saturday’s maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 40 and 26 degrees Celsius.
The minimum temperature Friday was 25.2 degrees Celsius-average for this time of the season. The maximum humidity was 58 percent.
Thursday’s maximum temperature was 41.9 degrees Celsius, three degrees above average, while the minimum was 26.8 degrees Celsius, two notches above average.
