Berlin, May 24 (IANS) Hoffenheim’s Roberto Firmino scored a brace in his team’s 3-1 win over Kaiserslautern to increase their chances of securing the last berth in German Bundesliga, following the first play off match.
After the unbelievable last minute win over Borussia Dortmund in the last round of Bundesliga, Hoffenheim took another big step towards another season in German football’s first division when they defeated Kaiserslautern Thursday, reports Xinhua.
Kaiserslautern finished third in the second division behind already promoted Braunschweig and Berlin.
The second leg is scheduled for Monday in Kaiserslautern.
