Beijing, May 20 (IANS) If you are a tourist in China, you better have “healthy and civilised” manners.
Chinese Vice Premier Wang Yang Sunday stressed that efforts should be made to advocate “healthy and civilized” manners among tourists.
Wang made the remarks during an inspection tour to central China’s Henan province, just days after he advocated polite tourist behavior and stressed that a good image of Chinese tourists should be projected during a State Council teleconference, reported Xinhua.
Wang visited a village in Henan that has become a tourist attraction, dropping in home stay hotels and souvenir shops and talking with business owners and travellers.
Rural tourism will boost the job market and increase farmers’ income, he said.
Tourism resources and the environment should be protected and the market order maintained, he said.
