Ghaziabad, May 28 (IANS) A jeweller returning home on a scooter with his son was shot dead by three motorcycle-borne men when he resisted their attempt to rob him, police said Tuesday.
Ashok Sharma was killed Monday night in Vasundhara locality, close to the national capital, when he was on his way home with his son Gaurav after shutting shop for the day. Three men intercepted the two and snatched the bag, containing the cash of the day and keys to the shop, from Sharma.
When Sharma, riding pillion, tried to catch hold of the man, another robber pulled out his gun and shot him dead, said a police official in the Indirapuram police station.
