Lucknow, May 16 (IANS) Five passers-by were buried alive when an old wall of a house collapsed in Uttar Pradesh’s Bhadohi town, police said Thursday.
The incident took place late Wednesday in Nehrunagar area of Bhadohi, about 280 km from here. Inspector General of Police (Law and Order) R.K. Vishwakarma told IANS that the wall was very old.
By the time police arrived and pulled out the victims trapped under the debris of the dilapidated wall, three had already passed away. The other two died on the way to hospital, police said.
The dead include three women and two girls. They have been identified as Savitri, Isravati, Babita, Nikita and Sargam.
