Abu Dhabi, May 6 (IANS/WAM) The UAE National Film Library and Archive (UNFLA), which will document the evolution of the UAE film industry, has been officially launched at the Zayed University.
It was launched by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, minister of culture, youth and community development, at the conclusion of the Zayed University Middle East Film Festival.
The first of its kind in the Gulf to document the evolution of the UAE film industry, the archive will be a permanent home for the work of Emirati films.
In addition to at least one access copy of all books and films, the archive is also seeking master original print films, master digital film versions, scripts, dialogue lists for translation, newspaper clippings, magazine articles, trailers, production stills, written or recorded interviews from filmmakers and actors from the earliest UAE productions.
