Chennai, May 14 (IANS) Successful Telugu revenge-drama “Eega” will be screened at the Cannes International Film Fesitval’s film market section May 20.
The festival is starting Wednesday.
“Going to attend Cannes film festival and the Film Market. First time going to any festival. We are also screening ‘Eega’ in the Cannes Film Market (March Du Film) on the 20th,” producer Shobu Yarlagadda posted on his Twitter page.
Lot of Indian and foreign films are screened at the Cannes film market to attract international buyers and distributors.
“Eega” was directed by S.S. Rajamouli. It was the story of a young man who comes back as a housefly to avenge his killers.
The film, which featured Nani, Kiccha Sudeep and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in lead roles, was also released in Hindi as “Makkhi” and as “Naan Ee” in Tamil.
