New Delhi, May 31 (IANS) To beat the scorching heat, a four-day Sharbat Mela has been launched at Dilli Haat, near INA Market, here.
One can indulge in icy mocktails, fresh juices, traditional drinks like aam ka panna, mango shake, sattu and kokam (a traditional drink from Maharashtra) at the fest that started Thursday.
Organised by Delhi Tourism, the festival, on till June 2, will cater to the thirst of visitors also with some of the most popular drinks like thandai, lassi, and jaljeera.
One can also go for organic squashes and juices from Navdanya – drinks made using Himalayan berries, sea buckthorn and rhododendron juice.
Visitors can participate in cultural programmes like regional folk dances, qawwali, music shows and stage productions that happen every evening at the amphitheatre.
