London, May 15 (IANS) An elderly man in Britain was trampled to death after he along with his brother and their two dogs were cornered by a herd of cows.
The 66-year-old died of his injuries in the field in Wiltshire county. His brother was airlifted to a hospital in Bristol with broken ribs and a collapsed lung. He is said to be in a stable condition, Daily Express reported Wednesday.
The wife of the injured man, believed to be in his early 70s, witnessed the incident which happened on a cut-through path popular with walkers and ramblers.
It emerged yesterday that this was the fourth incident in the area in the past five years.
Wiltshire cattle farmers have urged dog walkers to stay away from fields of cattle, which can be fiercely protective of their newborn calves.
