New Delhi, May 24 (IANS) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Friday staged a demonstration near Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit’s residence here demanding her resignation over alleged misuse of public money ahead of the 2008 assembly polls.
Delhi Lokayukta Manmohan Sarin has indicted Dikshit for misusing public money by carrying out an advertisement campaign with a “political purpose” ahead of the assembly elections in 2008.
Nearly 100 workers and leaders of the BJP gathered near the chief minister’s house and raised slogans against her.
The BJP has been demanding that a first information report (FIR) be filed against Dikshit on the basis of the ombudsman’s report.
