Riyadh, May 1 (IANS) Saudi Arabia announced that 13 people were killed and four others were missing in Riyadh, Baha, Hail and Quwayiyah due to recent rains and floods, Xinhua reported Wednesday.
Saudi Arabia has been witnessing medium and heavy rains in different regions since Friday, resulting in the closure of schools in some districts, according to a Saudi Press Agency report.
General Directorate of Civil Defense spokesman Colonel Abdullah bin Thabit Al-Harthi said that the victims included two people in Kharj, three in Aflaj, one in Hariq, four in Taif and three in Baha.
