New Delhi, April 29 (IANS) Work on the Gurgaon-Kotputli stretch of National Highway No.8 (NH 8), that connects Delhi with the country’s business hub Mumbai, has been delayed, the Lok Sabha was informed Monday.
“The reasons for delay are slow progress during construction by concessionaire, delay in the land acquisition, delay in forest clearance, delay in removal of religious and other structures and additional work in the project owing to public representation etc.,” Minister of Road Transport and Highway Sarve Sathyanarayana said in a written reply.
The minister said the National Highways Authority of India is monitoring the progress on the six-laning of the highway.
