New Delhi, April 21 (IANS) It did not take long for Sachin Tendulkar and Sir Vivian Richards to strike a warm conversation at the Ferozeshah Kotla here Sunday.
The two legends met before the start of the Indian Premier League match between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Daredevils.
Tendulkar, who turns 40 Wednesday, plays for the Mumbai Indians while Sir Viv has just joined Daredevils in an ambassadorial role.
The crowd roared when the little master entered the ground for warm-up. He soon spotted the West Indian great giving a TV interview and walked straight towards him. Though the chat was not long, it was filled with smiles. Tendulkar also gave his bat to Richards for checking after which he, the epitome of discipline that he is, was soon back to his pre-match drills.
The two share a special relationship and Sir Viv had recently said that no one was qualified enough to talk about Tendulkar’s retirement.
