New Delhi, April 29 (IANS) Action hero Vidyut Jammwal, who is currently shooting in Etawah, Uttar Pradesh, for Tigmanshu Dhulia’s action movie “Bullett Raja”, saved the life of a stuntman while doing an action sequence.
Vidyut was shooting a combat scene with one of the fighters on a height, overlooking a deep valley.
“After the first take of the sequence was done, they were asked to do another take… the stuntman had to stand at a certain angle. While the second shot was underway, the stuntman accidentally slipped and started rolling down. Without thinking about anything, Vidyut instinctively jumped off to save him,” said an eyewitness.
“Given his martial arts ability and his agility, Vidyut managed to get a hold on him and prevented the fall from being fatal,” added the source adding that in the process the actor injured himself.
This raised eyebrows as no one expected an actor to do something as courageous as this. But this has earned him the respect of the unit members.
“Both Tigmanshu and I feel that Vidyut is an action star not only onscreen but from within as well. The way he salvaged the situation by saving the stuntman speaks volumes about his true character. He’ll go a long way,” said producer Rahul Mittra.
So far Vidyut had two Hindi films – “Force” and “Commando” and his work was appreciated in both the films.
