New Delhi, April 26 (IANS) Following reports of an attack on death row convict Sarabjit Singh in a Lahore jail, the Indian High Commission in Islamabad has urged the Pakistani government to provide the necessary medical and other help to him, official sources said Friday.
The sources said the Indian High Commission has contacted the Pakistani foreign ministry for ascertaining facts and was awaiting a response.
Two officials were being sent to Lahore for consular access, sources in the external affairs ministry said.
