Sonam to celebrate 100 years of Indian cinema at Cannes

Mumbai, April 24 (IANS) Actress Sonam Kapoor is gearing up to join the 66th edition of Cannes International Film Festival, where India is the guest country.

A source close to Sonam revealed: “Sonam will be attending Cannes next month. The film festival is celebrating 100 years of Indian cinema and Sonam has shot for a special feature with a French team who has come down to capture a day in the life of a Bollywood celebrity.”

In fact, the French team is currently here. They have been spending time capturing Sonam’s routine amidst her shooting and promotion schedule. Also, when she spends time with near and dear ones.

The magazine will be available in tandem with the film festival, which is starting May 15 and it will see screening of three Indian movies – “Bombay Talkies”, “Monsoon Shooting” and “Dabba” – in different sections.

Another India connection is actress Vidya Balan, who is member of the Cannes jury this year.
