New Delhi, April 8 (IANS) Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde will pay a three-day visit to Russia from Wednesday to discuss security related issues, including transnational terrorism and combating drug trafficking.
An official release said that union Home Secretary R.K.Singh will also accompany Shinde.
During his visit, Shinde will meet Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Emergency Situation (Disaster Management) Minister Vladimir Puchkov and Federal Narcotics Service Director Viktor Ivanov.
He will hold separate delegation-level talks with the Russian ministers on various security issues, and also visit security installations and high-end training facilities.
Shinde and Puchkov will sign a “regulation” defining the structure, function and procedure of the Joint Commission which was established by an agreement signed in December 2010 in New Delhi in the area of emergency management.
“The agreement will enable both countries to mutually help each other in the field of disaster management,” the release said.
