Rio de Janeiro, April 14 (IANS) Italian Serie A club AS Roma is reportedly preparing an offer to sign Brazil international midfielder Jean.
The 26-year-old has attracted the attention of the Giallorossi with his impressive form for Brazil’s 2012 champions Fluminense, reports Xinhua.
He already has experience in Europe, having been loaned to Portugal’s Penafiel in 2008 while contracted to Sao Paulo.
Jean, a holding midfielder who has also played at right-back, has won four international caps for Brazil since making his debut against Argentina in November last year.
Roma has also been linked to Jean’s Brazil teammate Fernando, whose club Gremio has reportedly placed a 10 million-euro price tag on the midfielder.
