New Delhi, April 16 (IANS) Raj Singh, secretary general of Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) was elected as the secretary general of the Asian Associated Wrestling Council (AAWC) for the next four years in the AAWC general assembly held here Tuesday.
There are 24 representatives from different parts of Asia who cast their votes where Chang Kew Kim got 23 votes and was elected president while Raj Singh got 20 votes.
The last election was held at Pattaya during the 2009 Asian Championship. This is the first time in the history of wrestling where an Indian has been elected as the secretary general of AAWC.
