Shimla, April 12 (IANS) President Pranab Mukherjee will launch an online assembly constituency management component of Himachal Pradesh next month, an official statement said here Friday.
The central government will provide Rs.8.58 crore for the e-Vidhan Sabha project, which will be launched by Mukherjee May 24 during his visit to the state capital, said the statement quoting assembly Speaker B.B. Butail.
The project will be completed in September, when a function to mark the state Vidhan Sabha’s golden jubilee would be organised.
A conference of speakers of all state assemblies has been planned.
During his visit to Himachal Pradesh, Mukherjee will address the assembly May 24.
A.P.J. Abdul Kalam was the first president to address the Himachal Pradesh assembly Dec 23, 2004.
Mukherjee is also scheduled to deliver the first Rabindranath Tagore Memorial Lecture at the Indian Institute of Advance Studies and address the 22th convocation of the Himachal Pradesh University.
