Kolkata, April 29 (IANS) Sambhunath Kow, murder accused and Trinamool Congress councillor of Kolkata Municipal Corporation, Monday accused party legislator Swarna Kamal Saha of hatching a conspiracy against him. Saha has denied the allegation.
“I have been implicated in a false case… Swarna Kamal Saha has hatched the conspiracy against me,” said Kow here.
Saha is the legislator from Entally constituency in the city.
Kow, prime accused in the murder of party leader Adhir Maity in March, is now in judicial custody.
Kow was Monday released on a two-hour parole to participate in an election for a civic agency post.
Saha said: “The allegations are false and Kow is out of his mind.”
Supporters of Kow staged a protest in his support at the election venue.
Kow, on the run since March 20, was arrested from Maturi village in Ballia district of Uttar Pradesh April 5 and brought to West Bengal.
